Here at Jorvik Dental Practice our team is experienced in treating nervous and anxious patients and we are happy to treat you. We offer gentle dentistry in a calm environment and can help with relaxation techniques and flexible appointments to suit you. We are hear to listen to your concerns and provide advice. My employers provide a dental insurance plan. Will I be able to use this at Jorvik Dental Practice ?
Yes. We accept any private insurance schemes and can fill in any forms needed for your dental insurance claims and provide itemised receipts. We also offer in-house options to spread the cost of your dental treatments. We accept Axa, Bupa, Aviva and many other providers. I do not live in York, can I still come to Jorvik Dental Practice ?
We are more than happy to welcome patients from all over the UK and abroad. We have patients flying from abroad to attend their dental appointments. We have patients travelling from Scotland and Wales to our practice.

Do you offer dental plans?
We offer dental membership plans at our practice to help spread the cost of dental care and offer an extra discount from pay-as -you go prices. What care can my child receive at your practice?
We offer NHS children’s appointments, meaning that children at our practice receive free dental care. We place a strong emphasis on preventive dentistry, and providing NHS children care encourages good oral health at a young age.
I have toothache — can I get an emergency appointment?
If you have a toothache or dental pain, please get in touch with the practice as soon as possible. We offer emergency dental appointments to help relieve pain and treat urgent problems. Do you provide white fillings?
Yes, we offer tooth-colored fillings that blend naturally with your teeth, suitable for both children and adults.
What is root canal treatment? Will it hurt?
We have a lot of enquiries on root canal treatment. We use the latest techniques to ensure a comfortable experience. A lot of our patients fall asleep during this treatment.
