    Here at Jorvik Dental Practice our team is experienced in treating nervous and anxious patients and we are happy to treat you. We offer gentle dentistry in a calm environment and can help with relaxation techniques and flexible appointments to suit you. We are hear to listen to your concerns and provide advice.   • My employers provide a dental insurance plan. Will I be able to use this at Jorvik Dental Practice ?
    Yes. We accept any private insurance schemes and can fill in any forms needed for your dental insurance claims. We also offer in house options to spread the cost of your dental treatments.
  • I do not live in York, can I still come to Jorvik Dental Practice ?
    We are more than happy to welcome patients from all over the UK and abroad. We have patients flying from abroad to attend their dental appointments every 6 months. We have patients travelling from Scotland and Wales to our practice.
  • Do you provide NHS treatment?
    At Jorvik Dental Practice, we are proud to offer exceptional private dental care with a personal touch. We offer affordable options like an annual dental plan which helps patients attend without worrying about the cost and offers a discount over pay as you go. Our plan offers 2 adult examinations per year and 2 hygiene appointments from £18 per month. This can be joined as soon as you have your first consultation with us. We are a private dental practice and have a small nhs children's contract. On our children's nhs contract we can only see a limited number of children. We do operate a strict attendance policy on these appointments. The NHS children's checkups and treatment is free under the age of 18 years. Our dedicated team is here to provide comprehensive dental care tailored to your family’s needs in a relaxed and friendly environment.
  • Will my dental treatment be painful?
    We practice Pain-Free Dentistry for Your Comfort At our practice, we prioritize your comfort and well-being. We understand that dental procedures can sometimes feel daunting, which is why we focus on providing comfortable treatments using the latest gentle techniques. Whether it’s through effective local anaesthetic or, when necessary, dental sedation, we ensure that you are fully comfortable before we begin and remain at ease throughout your entire procedure. Our team is committed to making your experience as stress-free as possible by continuously checking in with you to ensure your comfort at every step. Your peace of mind is important to us—let us take care of you with the gentleness and care you deserve.
  • Do you offer a dental plan?
    Yes, we offer a dental plan. Please check our dental plan section for our dental plan details. We have annual payment options and monthly payment options. Our dental plans are priced from £18 per month. This helps spread your treatment costs over the year and also offers you a discount on your treatment.
  • Do you charge for a missed appointment?
    We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes schedules need to change. To help us serve all our patients and maintain affordable services, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Failure to give 48 hours' notice or not attending your appointment may result in a charge to cover the cost of the missed appointment. This policy helps us keep our practice running efficiently and allows us to offer our services at the best possible prices. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation.
  • Do my children qualify for treatment at Jorvik Dental Practice?
    We welcome Families! We are proud to offer a welcoming environment for children and families. As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive care for families, we offer NHS children dental check-ups for families joining our practice. Our spaces are limited and if we cannot offer an nhs space we will offer a free dental check-up and first treatment. We look forward to helping you and your family maintain healthy smiles! NHS dental treatment for children is free. This is till the age of 18 years. We have a limited number of children nhs spaces so please be quick to request one if your family is joining our practice.
