Principal Dentist
Mrs. Tris Harrison
BDS, MSc Endodontology (Dist.), Dip Imp Pros (RCS Eng)
I am an experienced dentist with over 20 years of clinical practice, and I have been working as a dentist in York for the past 15 years. I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2003, achieving multiple gold medals and 13 subject distinctions. These achievements reflect my long-standing commitment to learning and to providing high-quality dental care.
I am registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and completed my GDC registration exams in London in 2010. I believe it is important to keep my knowledge and skills up to date, so I regularly undertake further training to ensure my patients receive the latest dental care. In 2019, I completed a Master’s degree in Endodontology with distinction at the University of Chester, and my research was published in an endodontic journal.
I have also completed advanced postgraduate training in restorative dentistry and dental implants through Tipton Training, accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I hold a postgraduate Diploma in Implant Prosthodontics (RCS Eng), which enables me to place and restore dental implants when appropriate.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, from routine check-ups and preventative care to more complex treatments such as root canal therapy, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry. I understand that some patients may feel anxious about dental visits, and I take time to listen carefully, explain treatment options clearly, and ensure patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their care.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping, and travelling with my husband, Ben. I am also passionate about nature and conservation. I look forward to welcoming you to my dental practice in York and providing gentle, patient-centred dental care.
